SNEAKY CAUSES OF ACNE BREAKOUTS
HOW TO PREVENT ACNE BREAKOUTS
Skipping moisturizers is probably one of the worst mistakes you can make if you have acne-prone skin.
Don’t believe it?
Normally the skin contains natural oils that protect it from damage and bacteria. However, there are things you do and can be exposed to that strip off those oils.
Examples includes washing your face too much or using products that contain drying ingredients and exposure to dry and cold temperatures can also remove your natural oils.
Once those oils are stripped, your skin turns dry and becomes dehydrated. This forces your skin to produce more oil in order to re-establish its balance.
The problem is that producing too much oil doesn't lead to balance and can actually cause additional, undesired skin issues such as clogged pores, blackheads and pimples.
So, what to do?
It’s also best to apply a moisturizer while the skin is still damp. This way, you’ll be able to lock in additional moisture into your skin.
Skipping moisturizers can be only of the reasons your skin is breaking out so you can find out more about other sneaky causes of acne in the link below.
